    • PURPOSE: Provided is a chimera gene which includes a several herbicide resistant genes, and a plant cell and a plant which are resistant both to several herbicides, particularly to HPPD inhibitors and EPSPS inhibitors and/or to dihalogenohydroxybenzonitriles. Its use for weeding plants with the herbicides is also provided. CONSTITUTION: A chimera gene comprises up to one basic chimera gene which has up to one regulatory promoter sequence, up to one coding region for herbicide resistant enzyme, up to one regulatory terminator sequence, and one polyadenylation sequence. A herbicide resistant plant cell includes up to one chimera gene, and has at least one HPPD(hydroxyphenyl pyruvate deoxygenase) gene. The chimera gene is introduced into a plant cell by microinjection, electroporation, bombardment, and so forth. The herbicide resistant plant is generated by plant transgenesis in which a transcriptional regulation gene and the herbicide resistant gene are introduced in to the plant cell and the herbicide resistant plant is generated by the crossbreeding of some transgenic plants.
