    • PURPOSE: A method for purifying ginseng polysaccharides is provided to develop a new ginseng product containing ginseng polysaccharides which treat various immune diseases. CONSTITUTION: A method for polysaccharides containing panaxan components comprises the steps of: washing raw ginseng or dry ginseng with water, dipping the ginseng in 70-100 % high purity ethanol, and crushing; extracting the ginseng using 3-24 times weight of water at 80-95°C; separating the ginseng extract into an extract liquid and ginseng cake using a centrifugal dehydrator or a filter press; passing the extract liquid through aN ultracentrifuge apparatus and removing fine particles, macromolecular carbohydrate, and proteins; passing the extract liquid through activated charcoal and terra alba to adsorb heavy metal ions and agrochemical ingredients; filtering the extract liquid using a filter system with a micromembrane filter with a size of 0.45 um to remove macromolecular carbohydrates; discarding a solution containing low molecular materials and metallic ions and collecting a ginseng polysaccharides containing panaxan components; and concentrating and pulverizing the collected ginseng extract and obtaining ginseng polysaccharide powder or concentrating the collected ginseng extract and obtaining a ginseng polysaccharide concentrate liquid containing panaxan components.
