    • A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) including the same are provided to prevent lowering of temperature from being generated at an electrode portion of a lamp. A light source(110) generates the light beam. A lamp holder(120) protects the light source. A lamp cover(130) reflects the light beam of the light source. A receiving container(140) receives the light source, the lamp holder and the lamp cover. A portion contacting with the receiving container of the lamp cover covers the lamp except for the lamp holder. The lamp cover includes the first reflection member having a body member and a fixing member extended from the body member toward the first direction and fixed with the lamp holder. The first reflection member covers the upper portion of the light source. The second reflection member is extended from the body member toward the second direction and covers the rear of the light source. The third reflection member is extended vertically from the first and second directions and covers the lower portion of the light source.
