    • A method for assembling an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent a plastic substrate from being bent, by attaching the plastic substrate on an auxiliary substrate before an upper plastic substrate and a lower plastic substrate are bonded to each other. A first plastic substrate is attached on a first auxiliary substrate. Gate lines, data lines, thin film transistors, and pixel electrodes are formed on the first plastic substrate(S102). A second plastic substrate is attached on a second auxiliary substrate. A common electrode is formed on the second plastic substrate, and the second plastic substrate is removed(S208). The second plastic substrate is aligned with the first plastic substrate attached on the first auxiliary substrate. The first plastic substrate and the second plastic substrate are bonded to each other using an adhesive agent(S302). The first auxiliary substrate is removed(S304).

    • A method and an apparatus for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) are provided to simultaneously perform the alignment of substrates and curing of a sealant, thereby preventing deformation of substrates from being generated. A first and a second substrates including at least one plastic insulating substrate are arranged. A sealant is formed at any one of the first and second substrates. The first substrate is seated at a lower stage(10). The second substrate is fixed at the upper stage(20) opposite to the first substrate. Thereafter, the first and second substrates are aligned. Thereafter, at the state that the first and second substrates are located at the upper and lower stages, the sealant is cured. The sealant includes the ultraviolet curing resin. At least one of the upper and lower stages is made of the light transmission materials. The sealant is cured by irradiating the laser beam. After the aligning process, the upper and second stages are approached to each other and then the first and second substrates are compressed.
