摘要： A determination bit encoding/decoding apparatus, a method thereof and a recording medium in which a program thereof is installed are provided to select a proper estimator without generating additional bits, thereby improving compressing efficiency. A determination bit coding device(100) comprises a data Input part(110), an estimator(120), an encoder(130), a variable block configuration unit(140) and a bit stream transmission unit(150). The estimator calculates an estimation value of a target pixel by determining an estimation method of each target pixel of image data to be encoded and using the estimation method. The encoder calculates an error value by using the estimation value. The size of a block is successively increased as much as a unit designated from the size of a predefined block. The encoder selects the first determination bit value corresponding to the error value corresponding to the block and encodes the error value. The variable block configuration unit calculates variable block configuring information which shows block configuration for minimizing compression capacity by using a coding result of the block.
