    • PURPOSE: A paper handling device and a paper handling method are provided to contrive miniaturization of device or low cost since bringing the discharging location of paper into the predetermined domain by having no exclusive centering mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The sensor(1b) detect the location corresponding to the width direction of paper wind roller which moves over the conveyance road. The adjustment amount production part(1c) produces the projection amount which is out of the paper predetermined domain, and produces the adjustment amount for bringing the paper into the predetermined domain based of the projection amount, and determines the movement amount of the wind roller by distinguishing the movement direction of the wind roller, and stores the adjustment information, which relates the movement amount of the wind roller in the acceptance order of the wind roller, in the adjustment information storage part(1d). The location control part(1e) reads the adjustment information from the adjustment information storage part, and extracts the movement amount of the wind roller corresponding to the next discharging paper based on the acceptance order, and controls the movement part(1f) which moves the wind roller based on the movement amount to the width direction of the wind roller, and brings the discharging location of the paper into the predetermined domain.
