摘要： A development apparatus and an image forming apparatus using the same are provided to apply desired amount of electric charge by agitating a stray toner. A development vessel(3) accommodates a developer consisting of a toner and a carrier. A developer retaining body(4) is installed at the development vessel, and faces an image retaining body to maintain the developer. A developer supplier(5) is installed inside the development vessel, supplies the developer to the developer retaining body. The developer agitator(6) is installed at a different chamber from where the developer supplier is installed in the development vessel, and agitates the developer to supply to the developer supplier. A developer recovering unit(7) is installed at the rotational direction downstream of the image retaining body, recovers the stray toner, and returns the stray toner to the developer agitator.

摘要： A developing machine is provided to stably exhaust a developer from an exhaust hole without increasing a size of the developing machine. A carrying shaft is installed and rotated in a developing machine(12). A developing carrying part of a spiral shape is formed in the outer circumference of the carrying shaft. The developing carrying part carries a developer in an axis direction along the rotation of the carrying shaft. An exhaust hole(64) is installed in an inner wall surface opposite to the carrying shaft. The exhaust hole(64) exhausts the developer from the inner wall surface. A storing chamber(62) stores the developer exhausted from the exhaust hole(64). An opening and closing member(60) of a plate shape opens and closes the exhaust hole(64) along the rotation of a rotary body(11) by self-weight. The opening and closing member(60) is in an opened state in a developing position. The developing machine(12) is maintained in the rotary body(11), and is successively opposite to the developing position of a photosensitive drum(102) by the rotation of the rotary body(11). The opening and closing member(60) has an opening and closing point in a lower end part of the opening and closing member(60) in the developing position.
