摘要： PURPOSE: An electric connector with multi-layer surface treatment and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to apply a second plating layer of a third material with a strong soldering performance and a third plating layer of a fourth material with a strong wear resistance performance to each soldering tap and peripheral walls, thereby improving surface treatment. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector includes an insulating housing, multiple contacts, and a metal cover that wraps around the insulating housing. The metal cover has each soldering tap (15) and peripheral walls which comprise an intermediate layer of a first material (20), a first plating layer of a second material (21), a second plating layer (22) of a third material with strong soldering performance, and a third plating layer of a fourth material with strong wear resistance performance.
