    • PURPOSE: A controller of a continuously variable transmission is provided to improve the shifting comfort through the output of a precise control signal, to apply the design change or the expansion of a system without the structural change and to maintain the stable electricity though each control unit is accessed. CONSTITUTION: A power unit(10) supplies operating power and backup power to each load by processing power to be supplied through a battery and an ignition key contact. A first interface unit(20) interfaces information as analog signals. A second interface unit(30) interfaces information as digital signals. A control unit(50) analyzes the interfaced information through a set algorithm and performs an optional transmission gear ratio and a duty control. A first communication unit(60) transmits and receives data from each control system through a general scan tool K-line communication. A second communication unit(160) transmits and receives data from each control system through CAN communication. A memory unit(40) stores various data, learning data and self-diagnosis data for controlling a continuously variable transmission. A lamp driving unit(70) drives various check lamps according to signals from the control unit. A relay driving unit(80) drives various relays according to the signals of the control unit. Solenoid valve driving units(90,100) for PWM(Pulse Widths Modulation) output forcing signals, duty signals and chopping signals for driving solenoid valves as PWM signals according to the signals of the control unit and offer feedback signals to the control unit by diagnosing defects about the output signals. Solenoid valve driving units(110,120) for VFS control a line pressure control solenoid valve and a transmission gear ratio control solenoid valve. A signal output unit(130) outputs various information to a controller of an engine. Thereby, a controller of the continuously variable transmission comprises in one single module.

The communication part performs GST communication and CAN communication for communication with an external device. The engine indicating part displays the engine condition according to the control of the control part. The output part is operated according to control signal of the control part.

A variable throttle(114) for changing the opening degree of both wind inlet holes according to the inflow amount(w1,w2) of the wind is installed at the spot where the wind inlet holes are branched off. The wind direction is calculated by using a variable resistance value differently output according to the opening degree of the variable throttle.
