    • PURPOSE: A harmonic removal apparatus in an RFID system and method thereof are provided to effectively remove harmonics in an RFID system while operating ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit) by restricting a frequency band of a tag signal. CONSTITUTION: Harmonics included in a reader signal during transmitting the reader signal is removed. A FIR(finite impulse response) filter(302) restricts and outputs a frequency band of a tag signal during receiving the tag signal. A coefficient is differently established during receiving the tag signal and transmitting the reader signal. A coefficient control register(320) controls a variable clock included in a finite impulse response filter.

    • PURPOSE: A gate control system is provided to count the number of entering tags by using a tag signal and to count the number of entering persons by using a moving picture signal and to create an alarm signal when the number of entering tags is not matched with the number of entering persons. CONSTITUTION: A gate control system comprises RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) readers(121, 122), a monitoring camera(13), a gate driving unit(15), an alarm(16), and a host unit(14). The RFID reader is installed in around a gate. The monitoring camera is installed in around the gate. The gate driving unit operates the gate according to a gate control signal. The alarm creates an alarm signal according to an alarm control signal. The host unit recognizes entering tags while outputting the gate control signal and the alarm control signal to the gate driving unit. The host unit counts the number of entering persons by processing a moving picture sign of the monitoring camera. The host unit outputs the alarm control signal through the alarm when the number of entering tags is not matched with the number of entering persons.
