    • A payment system using NFC(Near Field Communication) and a method thereof are is provided to enable a user to pay for the bus fare or his getting-on/off confirmation to be authenticated at any position in a bus. A payment system using NFC consists of a wireless terminal(100) and a bus terminal(200). The wireless terminal comprises the first control part(120), a display part(130), and a USIM card(140). The first control part controls bus fare payment and getting-on/off confirmation. Also the first control part controls contents purchase. The display part receives a bus fare payment message and a bus getting-on/off confirmation message from the first control part and displays them. Also the displays part receives a contents purchase message from the bus terminal and displays it. The USIM card executes bus fare payment and bus getting-on/off confirmation through NFC with the bus terminal according to the control of the first control part. Also the USIM card receives contents, purchased by the first control part, from the bus terminal through NFC and stores the contents. The bus terminal approves the wireless terminal's bus fare payment through NFC or authenticates the wireless terminal's getting-on/off confirmation. A local communication module(141) performs local communication with the bus terminal, and transfers a call to a traffic card applet(142) when receiving a call signal from the bus terminal.
