    • PURPOSE: A wavelength automatic recognition apparatus is provided to save maintenance costs without wavelength alignment and management by achieving miniaturization by modulization and integration. The wavelength judgment part judges wavelength of an optical signal using a stored lookup table.     • PURPOSE: A reflection type optical delay interferometer based on a planar waveguide is provided to remove polarization dependency and the polarization inconsistency of a time division optical interferometer. CONSTITUTION: A reflection type optical delay interferometer based on a planar waveguide comprises a coupler(212), a first optical waveguide(201), a second optical waveguide(202), a first polarization rotating reflective device(220), and a second polarization rotating reflective device(230). The coupler divides an optical input signal into two optical signals. The first optical waveguide is connected to the coupler and has a first optical delay path. The second optical waveguide is connected to the coupler and has an optical delay path asymmetrical to the first optical delay path to deliver a second optical signal. The first polarization rotating reflective device is connected to the first optical waveguide. The second polarization rotating reflective device is connected to the second optical waveguide.

    • PURPOSE: An optical phase modulation method for quantum cryptography key distribution and apparatus thereof are provided to set path difference between two paths of an asymmetric optic interferometer easily, by arranging an optic phase modulator outside the optic interferometer. CONSTITUTION: Single photon coming out from a light source(210) is inputted to an optic interferometer(220). An optic phase modulator(230) performs phase modulation to the single photon of two photos corresponding to one coordinate. The phase-modulated single photon is transmitted through an optical fiber-based quantum channel(240). An optical phase modulator(250) modulates the phase of another single photon whose phase is not modulated. Two single photos are divided in an optic interferometer(260). The overlapped photons are detected in a single photon detector(270).
