    • A method and an apparatus for measuring a coarseness level in a target organ from an ultrasound visual image are provided conveniently to measure fibrosis of the organ at lost cost. A method for measuring a coarseness level in a target organ from an ultrasound visual image includes the steps of: obtaining an ultrasound area visual image of the organ(S210); (b) setting a target area for the ultrasound area visual image(S220); obtaining a quantified representative roughness level of the target area from distribution of luminance values of pixels within the target area(S230); and calculating the coarseness level of the organ corresponding to the quantified representative roughness level(S240).
