    • PURPOSE: A fully passive remaining heat removal system of a sodium-cooled fast reactor is provided to improve the reliability of an operation waiting state of a safety system by minimizing a function lose of heat removal loop due to a sodium solidification. CONSTITUTION: A high temperature pool(120) stores a high temperature sodium heated by a nuclear reactor. An intermediate heat exchanger implements a heat exchange with the sodium of the high temperature pool. A low temperature pool accepts a low temperature sodium passing through the intermediate heat exchanger. A sodium-sodium decay heat exchanger(150) eliminates the decay heat of inside the nuclear reactor. A sodium-air heat exchanger is installed on a location higher than the sodium-sodium decay heat exchanger. A first system pump maintains a liquid level difference of the high temperature pool and the lower temperature pool.

    • PURPOSE: A tester for an induction level sensor is provided to enable a test on the operation and performance of an induction level sensor at the room temperature without dipping the induction level sensor in hot molten metal. CONSTITUTION: A tester for an induction level sensor comprises an induction level sensor(100), a case(200), and a controller(300). The induction level sensor includes a tube part formed with a channel and a sensor part having a coil providing electric current flow. The case comprises a paramagnetic rod which is inserted in the channel and a paramagnetic round rod which surrounds the induction level sensor. The controller provides or detects electric current in the sensor part and determines the operation of the induction level sensor.

    • PURPOSE: A device for heating a simulated core in a sodium cooled fast reactor system is provided to directly heat molten metal having a low melting point using an electrode rod provided with low-voltage and high-current power. CONSTITUTION: A device for heating a simulated core in a sodium cooled fast reactor system uses molten metal including alkali metal containing high-temperature sodium, sodium-potassium alloy, lead-bismuth alloy, and lead. The simulated core heating device includes an electrode rod(100) which is installed in the molten metal and heats the molten metal with low-voltage and high-current power. Single phase AC power is applied to the electrode rod through an electric wire which is connected only to the electrode plate of the electrode rod. The exterior of the electrode rod is coated with an insulator which is protected with a protective layer not to contact the molten metal.
