    • The present invention relates to a multi baffle dryer increasing drying efficiency because the dryer has multiple zigzag baffles with a downward gradient. According to the present invention, coal is bumped into a baffle and falls down to have a long contact time with air. A warm current is formed from rising air by the baffle and is in contact with the coal to increase drying efficiency. Further, the coal is put into the upper part of the dryer, and air flows from the lower part thereof, so that the temperature is increased while the coal falls down, and the temperature is lowered while air rises. Therefore, the entire dryer has constant driving force required for drying, thereby increasing drying efficiency. Also, the dryer of the present invention further promotes drying by vacuum drying effects by forming a high pressure gradient in the vertical area of the baffle, and thus, the dryer can efficiently dry the coal with a small amount of air flow during a short contact time at relatively low temperatures (200°C or less).
