    • An adsorbent is provided to adsorb and remove the harmful gases effectively and simultaneously even in a state that harmful gases generated from a rubber material are mixed through surface treatment techniques using an acidic solution and a basic metal oxide. As an adsorbent for harmful gases generated from rubber, comprising an acid-treated adsorbent, a basic metal oxide-supported adsorbent, and a mixture thereof, an adsorbent for harmful gases released from rubber is characterized in that: the acid-treated adsorbent is an adsorbent obtained by treating a porous silica, a hollow carbon sphere, or a mixture thereof with an acid; the basic metal oxide-supported adsorbent is an adsorbent supporting a basic metal oxide onto the porous silica, the hollow carbon sphere, or the mixture thereof; and the porous silica has a specific surface area of 500 to 1000 m^2/g, and the hollow carbon sphere has a specific surface area of 700 to 2000 m^2/g. Further, the basic metal oxide is one or more selected from CaO, MgO, BaO, SrO, Al2O3 and CeO2.
