    • PURPOSE: A large area digital X-ray image detector is provided to achieve a large area digital X-ray detecting substrate by utilizing a large area digital X-ray image detector panel. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray image detector(40) is formed on a rectangular substrate. A data terminal(42) and a gate terminal(41) are formed at two lateral portions of the X-ray image detector(40). A gate electrode is connected to the gate terminal(41) so as to form a channel between a drain electrode and a source electrode in response to gate voltage. The drain electrode is connected to a data line and the source electrode is connected to a capacitor. When gate voltage is applied, the X-ray image detector(40) forms the gate terminal(41) to one lateral side thereof, and installs the data terminal(42) on an adjacent lateral side so that a reverse-L shaped terminal section is formed. Remaining lateral sides(43) are positioned adjacent to each other so that a large area X-ray image detector is formed.

    • PURPOSE: A masking apparatus is provided to prevent electrical noises caused due to the irregular junction between the TFT array panel and photo conductive layer, while allowing for accurate alignment of active area. CONSTITUTION: A masking apparatus comprises a lower mask(10) disposed beneath a TFT array panel(20) so as to support the panel; a frame type cover mask(40) disposed around the TFT array panel and on the lower mask in such a manner that only the active area of the TFT array panel is deposited with a photo conductive material and the inactive area is not deposited with the photo conductive material; and a masking tape(60) attached beneath the cover mask and on the TFT array panel in such a manner that inactive area of the TFT array panel is protected from the ingress of gas molecule.
