摘要： PURPOSE: A composite circular slicer knife is provided to adopt a material with the proper characteristic used for the slicer knife, to produce at low cost, and to improve problems for hygienic and cleanness of the knife. CONSTITUTION: A substantially circular slicer knife(10) comprises an interior base portion(12) having a first material and an outer edge portion(14) having a second material, forming a cutting edge of the slicer knife, and bonding metallurgically with the interior base portion. In addition, the slicer knife has a first side and a second side. A region of metallurgical bonding between the outer edge portion and the interior base portion has a first continuous transition surface portion on the first side and a second continuous transition surface portion on the second side. The first continuous transition surface portion is smooth and free of any touch discernable gap or crevice. The second continuous transition surface portion is smooth and free of any touch discernible gap or crevice.
