    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method of combating insects and parasites, in particular acarids by diffusing a composition containing permethrin in a solvent in such a manner that the solvent is entirely in gaseous state. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises several steps of: diffusing the composition in a chamber to be treated, allowing the same to contain permethrin and tetramethrin in a solvent and diffusing the same in such a manner that the solvent is entirely in gaseous state. In the process, permethrin and tetramethrin are respectively used in the range of about 0.05 to 0.5% by weight and 0.05 to 0.5% by weight, the total amount of permethrin and tetramethrin to be used for 8 days is in the range of about 0.1 to 3mg/m¬3.
