    • This invention solves the problem that when a plurality of capacitors are connected to one another, the space required for such connection is large, because the anode and cathode of each capacitor are led out on the mutually opposite sides, so that it is difficult to reduce the size. This invention provides capacitors that can be electrically and mechanically connected to one another with ease and can reduce the connection space and unnecessary resistance. A terminal plate (4) that seals an opening part of a metallic case (3) accommodating a capacitor element (2) provides an insert molding of a terminal member (5) comprising a terminal (5a) and a rib (5b) joined to one electrode of the capacitor element (2). The one electrode of the capacitor element (2) is joined to the rib (5b) of the terminal member (5), while the other electrode is joined to an internal bottom surface of the metallic case (3). The terminal (5a) provided at the terminal plate (4) is used to extract one of the anode and cathode, while the metallic case (3) is used to extract the other, thereby reducing the resistance. Additionally, when a plurality of capacitors (1) are connected to one another, the connection space can be reduced by half, thereby realizing a reduced size.
