    • PURPOSE: Provided are a method for preparing a diphenyl methane-based diisocyanate (MDI) fraction containing 95 wt% or more of binuclear methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, a method for preparing a diphenyl methane diisocyanate blend by using the fraction, and a method for preparing a polymer by using the fraction and/or the blend, to reduce the content of 2,2'-MDI in blend, thereby improving reactivity and reducing the content of residual monomers and to reduce the content of solvents, phenyl isocyanate and phosgene remarkably. CONSTITUTION: The diphenyl methane-based diisocyanate fraction containing 95 wt% or more of binuclear methylene diphenyl diisocyanate is prepared by reacting aniline and formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst to prepare diphenyl methane-based diamine containing binuclear methylene diphenyl diamine and polyamine; phosgenating the diphenyl methane-based diamine containing binuclear methylene diphenyl diamine and polyamine to prepare coarse diisocyanate and polyisocyanate; and separating a fraction containing 90 wt% or more of binuclear methylene diphenyl diisocyanate containing at least 60 wt% of 4,4'-MDI, 4-35 wt% of 2,4'-MDI and 0.01-10 wt% of 2,2'-MDI and 20 ppm or less of phenyl isocyanate from the coarse diisocyanate and polyisocyanate.

    • Provided is a method for preparing 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI), which is a simple preparation to be conducted at different positions, and transfers a raw material suitable for the preparation of 4,4'-MDI from a first production point to a second production points without the disadvantages of conventional methods. The method for preparing 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate comprises the steps of: (a) preparing diamines and polyamines of the diphenylmethane series by reacting aniline and formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst at a first point; (b) preparing corresponding diisocyanates and polyisocyanates of the diphenylmethane series by reacting the diamines and polyamines with phosgene at the first point; (c) optionally, separating the diisocyanates and polyisocyanates by distillation to obtain a mixture comprising 50-80wt% of 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 1-12wt% of 2,4'- and(or) 2,2'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, and 10-45wt% of trifunctional and multi-functional polyisocyanates, based on the total weight of the mixture of diisocyanates and polyisocyanates; (d) carrying the mixture of diisocyanates and polyisocyanates in a container; (e) transporting the container containing diisocyanates and polyisocyanates to a second point far away from the first point; and (f) separating the mixture of diisocyanates and polyisocyanates by distillation and(or) crystallization to obtain pure 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate comprising at least 97wt% of 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate and at most 3wt% of 2,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate.
