    • A process for preparing isocyanates is provided to recover excessive phosgene, to reduce solvent circulation to a small amount, and to isolate pure hydrochloride for additional use. A process for preparing isocyanates comprises the steps of: forming isocyanate-containing liquid stream and gas stream(1) whch are corresponded by reacting proper amine with phosgene; condensing the gas stream to form liquid phase and gas phase, and inducing the liquid phase to the upper side of a stripping column(50); separating the liquid phase into a solvent phase and a gas phase; returning the solvent phase to the phosgenation reaction; absorbing phosgene contained in the gas phase into the solvent to form a phosgene solution; mixing the phosgene solution and concentrated phosgene solution(11); and returning the phosgenation of the concentrated phosgene solution to the phosgene solution.

    • Provided are a method for preparing diphenylmethane-based diamine and polyamine containing a small amount of water and aniline with consuming a low energy, and a method for preparing diphenylmethane-based diisocyanate and polyisocyanate. A diphenylmethane-based diamine and polyamine is prepared by reacting aniline and formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst to prepare a reaction mixture containing diamine and polyamine; neutralizing it; separating it into an organic phase and an aqueous phase; and separating water and aniline from the organic phase by distillation, wherein the distillation comprise at least one pre-distillation and at least one distillation; aniline and water are partially separated from an organic phase containing diamine and polyamine by flash evaporation during pre-evaporation; and the residual aniline and water are separated at the post-distillation to obtain the diamine and polyamine containing water in an amount less than about 1,000 ppm and aniline in an amount less than about 200 ppm.
