    • A print head is provided to prevent variations in image density and dot shape by spraying ink via plural ejection ports in communication with ink channels having different length. A print head comprises plural nozzles and an ink supply port(4) in communication with the nozzles. The nozzles includes an ejection port(6B), an electrothermal transducing element, an energy acting chamber, and a channel. Each of the first nozzles having a relatively long first channel comprises a first ejection port and a first eletrothermal transducing element, and each of the second nozzles having a relatively short second channel comprises a second ejection port and a second electrothermal transducing element. The first and second ejection ports have the same opening diameter. The first and second nozzles are arranged on the same side of the ink supply port, and the first electrothermal transducing element has an area smaller than that of the second electrothermal transducing element. The electrothermal transducing element creates heat in a direction orthogonal to the direction the ejection ports are arranged when energized, and is shaped like a rectangle which is longer in the direction orthogonal to the direction the ejection ports are arranged than in the direction the ejection ports are arranged. The aspect ratio of the electrothermal transducing element is obtained by dividing the length of the electrothermal transducing element in the direction orthogonal to the direction the ejection ports are arranged by the length of the electrothermal transducing element in the direction the ejection ports are arranged, and the aspect ratio of the electrothermal transducing element is changed to increase according to the length of the channel.
