    • Provided is a sodium sulfur battery. According to the present invention, the sodium sulfur battery includes: a cartridge tube which carries sodium and has a sodium discharging outlet on the bottom for discharging melt sodium; a solid electrolyte tube for accommodating the cartridge tube while passing sodium ions; a cathode container for accommodating the solid electrolyte tube and sulfur; an insulation member for insulating a space between the solid electrolyte tube and the cathode container; an anode cover installed to seal the top of the cartridge tube; a stopper member for blocking the sodium discharging outlet; a fixation member for fixing the stopper member to the bottom of the cartridge tube; and a joint member for joining the stopper member and fixation member while being melt at abnormal operational temperatures of the sodium sulfur battery.

    • A sodium sulfur battery is provided. According to the present invention, the sodium sulfur battery comprises: a cartridge pipe for depositing sodium, which includes an outlet for discharging molten sodium, on the lower side thereof; a solid electrolyte pipe which accommodates the cartridge pipe and in which sodium ions pass through; a positive electrode container which stores the solid electrolyte pipe and sulfur; an insulation member which insulates a space in between the solid electrolyte pipe and the positive electrode container; a negative electrode cover which is installed to seal the upper side of the cartridge pipe; a rod member which includes one end fixed and combined to the lower side of the negative electrode cover or the upper side of the cartridge pipe, and heat-expands at a temperature equal to or greater than a normal operation temperature of the sodium sulfur battery; and a stopper member which is located on the lower side of the rod member, and blocks the outlet for the sodium when the rod member expands by heat.
