    • PURPOSE: A method for controlling thickness of galvanizing coating layer on the surface of a metallic object is provided to stabilize a metal strip with regard to using a magnetic wiper for wiping out excessive galvanizing coating layer on a metal strip that is being galvanized. CONSTITUTION: In a method for controlling thickness of galvanizing coating layer on the surface of a metallic object as continuously coating the metallic object by passing the metallic object through a facility for adhering molten metal onto the surface of a metallic object, the method comprises the steps of transferring the metallic object from the facility in a moving direction along a moving path comprising a plane; wiping out excessive molten metal from the object by applying magnetic force to the metallic object; and stabilizing position of the object for the plane by applying stabilizing magnetic force to the object, wherein the method further comprises the steps of sensing values of parameter determined by position of the object for the plane; and applying stabilizing magnetic force corresponding to the sensed values to the object, and wherein the magnetic force includes force of components that are at least perpendicular to an object moving direction and the plane.
