CONSTITUTION: A gap adjusting apparatus is installed at both ends of a traveling rail(15) to keep the constant gap, and one side of a sliding unit(20) is contacted and installed to the ends of the traveling rail. A piston(31) of a hydraulic cylinder(30) is installed in the other side of the sliding unit and arranged in a line with the traveling rail. A hydraulic adjusting unit(40) is installed to the hydraulic cylinder to keep constant pressure to the piston. Bending deformation of the traveling rail is prevented by compensating the increase of the length with sliding a sliding body to the hydraulic cylinder in expanding the traveling rail.

    • Provided is a guide roll for continuous casting installed on a segment for continuous casting. The guide roll for continuous casting may comprise: a plurality of unit shells which is rotatably assembled into a fixated roll shaft by a bearing and contact with a slab; and a cooling water channel provided to intercommunicate with the roll shaft and the unit shells. According to the present invention, the roll shaft is fixated; the shell has a multi-shell structure rotating on the shaft. Meanwhile, cooling water can flow through the inside of the shell unlike the existing one. Therefore, efficiency of cooling a roll shell is maximized; abrasion of the surface of the shell is reduced; and quality of the surface of the slab is increased. In addition, a thermal effect on the bearing for rotating the shell is minimized; thus, the life span of the bearing is extended. Consequently, the whole life span of the guide roll is increased; the guide roll can be easily maintained and managed.
