The stopper is protruded from the outer circumference of the dipping nozzle so that one side of the multi-shield parts can be held.

    • PURPOSE: A method for measuring front and rear ends of a hot strip is provided to improve quality of the hot strip and workability by providing a thermal image of a bar to a worker through photographing the thermal image of the bar using a CCD camera. CONSTITUTION: A CCD camera photographs a conveyed hot strip. Then, a photographing image of the CCD camera is read in by a frame memory. First and second determining lines are formed in an x-axial direction of a frame. Then, brightness of first and second non-determining lines is read. If brightness of first and second non-determining lines is higher than reference brightness, "on" is checked. If brightness of first and second non-determining lines is lower than reference brightness, "off" is checked. If the first determining line is "on", a bending or a meandering of a front portion of the bar is determined(S102). If the first and second determining lines are "on", the meandering is determined by comparing a mean value of a bar center with a predetermined value(S103).
