In an ordinary hot rolling method comprising a reheating furnace, rough rolling and finish rolling, in which both ends of a working roll used in the finish rolling are tapered, and the taper roll is shifted in an axial direction of a rolling mill, a method for reducing the edge drop of a hot rolled strip using a taper roll comprises: (a) obtaining a shit amount of the taper roll according to a relational expression of a wear amount of a roll according to the rolling process, a taper amount of the roll, and a width of a hot rolled strip that is being rolled as an operation amount for reducing the edge drop of the hot rolled strip; and (b) shifting the taper roll in the axial direction of the rolling mill according to the obtained shift amount.

    • PURPOSE: A method for controlling cooling of a hot rolled steel sheet is provided which not only cools the hot rolled steel sheet more economically, but also secures superior mechanical properties by varying a flow rate of cooling water supplied onto the surface of the steel sheet by the cooling unit of the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling cooling of a hot rolled steel sheet comprises the steps of additionally installing a valve for controlling flow rate of cooling water at cooling heads(15) so as to control a flow rate of the cooling water; measuring a maximum cooling capacity of the cooling heads(15) and a cooling capacity by air, and obtaining a total cooling capacity of a cooling unit(100); setting a structure fraction and mechanical properties of a target final hot rolled steel sheet; obtaining a cooling curve showing the structure fraction and mechanical properties of a target steel sheet based on a transformation curve of the steel sheet; obtaining an air cooling initiation temperature, finishing temperature and air cooling time from the cooling curve; selecting a standard cooling curve capable of maintaining the air cooling time; obtaining a first required cooling capacity before air cooling and a third required cooling capacity after air cooling; dividing a cooling interval of the cooling unit(100) into a first cooling zone(101), a second cooling zone(102) and a third cooling zone(103); cooling the hot rolled steel sheet hot finishing rolled in a hot finishing rolling machine(1) by controlling the valve for controlling a flow rate of cooling water in the first cooling zone(101); air cooling the hot rolled steel sheet in the second cooling zone(102); cooling the air cooled hot rolled steel sheet in the third cooling zone(103); and repeating the cooling steps until the structure fraction and mechanical properties of the target final hot rolled steel sheet are obtained.

    • PURPOSE: A hot rolled strip cooling method is provided which is capable of solving problems of material defects due to detection error of coiling temperature by fundamentally preventing retention of cooling water on an upper part of hot rolled strip. CONSTITUTION: In a method for coiling the cooled hot rolled strip by cooling a hot rolled strip in a cooling facility comprising dynamic cooling part and feedback cooling part, the method for cooling the hot rolled strip by preferentially injecting water onto a lower part of the strip comprises the steps of setting the target coiling temperature range; injecting cooling water onto upper and lower parts of the hot rolled strip transferred by opening header of upper bank and lower bank of the dynamic cooling part; measuring coiling temperature of the hot rolled strip passing through the feedback cooling part following the dynamic cooling part; sequentially opening the header of the lower bank of the feedback cooling part and the header of the upper bank of the feedback cooling part in case that the measured coiling temperature values are higher than a target coiling temperature, thereby injecting cooling water onto the hot rolled strip so that measured coiling temperature values satisfy the target coiling temperature range; and sequentially closing the header of the upper bank of the feedback cooling part and the header of the lower bank of the feedback cooling part in case that the measured coiling temperature values are lower than the target coiling temperature so that measured coiling temperature values satisfy the target coiling temperature range.
