CONSTITUTION: An air flow rate controller consists of a line speed detector (2); a strip width detector (42); a spread oil amount setting unit (41); a flow rate control valve (7) controlling an air flow rate from an air blower (8) on an air line (10); a flow rate detector (11); a pressure detector (44) detecting the air pressure of the air line; a temperature detector (45) detecting the temperature of the air line; a temperature and pressure revising unit revising the flow rate with the temperature and the pressure of the air line; an operation processing unit (60) operating a target flow rate; and a PID (proportional/integral/derivative) controlling unit (70) comparing the target flow rate with the revised flow rate and controlling the opening of the flow rate control valve with a PID control. Therefore, when an operator sets the target spread oil flow rate, the operation processing unit automatically changes the target spread oil flow rate to accurately control the air flow rate.
