    • An objective of the present invention is to provide an improved needle-shaped electrode bar which is capable of shortening discharge time and improving discharge efficiency by reducing electric resistance and a discharge initiating voltage of the needle-shaped electrode bar made of stainless, and to a method of manufacturing the same. An improved needle-shaped electrode bar according to the present invention includes a first ground bar with a hollow pipe shape; a second ground bar with a hollow pipe shape installed in the first ground bar; an insulating material charged in the second ground bar; a plurality of discharging needles spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the first ground bar at regular intervals and fixed to an outer surface of the first ground bar in a radial direction; a lead line installed to the front end of one side or both sides of the first ground bar in a longitudinal direction to be electrically connected to facilities on the ground; and a welding portion for supporting the discharging needles to be fixed to the outer surface of the first ground bar. According to the present invention, the electric resistance and discharge initiating voltage of the needle-shaped electrode bar made of stainless can be reduced so that discharge time can be shortened and discharge efficiency can be improved.

CONSTITUTION: A ground electric field measuring apparatus comprises a ground electric field detecting electrode(210), a ground electric field calculating unit(220), and a control unit(230), and a correcting unit(240). The correcting unit receives a high voltage corresponding to a corona current value matching with an already known electric field value and generates an artificial corona phenomenon. The ground electric field detecting electrode collects currents generated by the corona phenomenon. The ground electric field calculating unit calculates an electric field value from the ground electric field detecting electrode with the collected currents. The control unit compares the ground electric field with the already known electric field value and calculates an error value of the ground electric field generated by the ground electric field calculating unit. The control unit controls calculation of the accurate ground electric field by reflecting the error value when measuring the ground electric field according to an actual approach of a thundercloud.

The first and second coupling parts have the shape of a taper having a diameter reduced toward an end portion. According to the present invention, the horizontal conductor of the lightning protection system installed at the upper portion of the building to receive the lightening stroke can be easily installed and constructed. The contact area between the horizontal conductor and a coupling unit is increased, so that the electrical connection can be improved.
