    • A poly(vinyl alcohol)-based film and a preparation method thereof is provided to obtain a film having optimal visible light transmittance and low water absorption rate and to replace an optical film of a display device exposed to a high-humidity condition. A poly(vinyl alcohol)-based film comprises a polyvinylalcohol-base material layer and a UV curable resin layer at least, formed at one side of a base material layer. The film has 4.5% or less of water absorption rate defined as the weight percent of the moisture after leaving the film at 25deg.C in 65% RH; 65% or less of swelling degree defined as the weight percent measured with a vacuum drying method after leaving the film at 30deg.C in 65% RH; and 80% or greater of the visible light transmittance.

    • A thermo-shrinkable polyester film is provided to reduce the defective ratio during a labeling process and to maximize productivity by lowering surface resistance of a label by applying antistatic property to an applied layer formed by an in-line coating method. A thermo-shrinkable polyester film has an applied layer formed on one or both surfaces of a polyester base film. The applied layer contains binder resin and anionic compounds as an antistatic agent. The binder resin is copolymerized polyester resin with glass transition temperature(Tg) of 20~50°C. The anionic compound is mixed about 1~30wt.% to the binder resin of 100wt.%. The spread amount of the applied layer is 0.01~0.1g/m^2. The applied layer contains polyethylene glycol of 5~20wt.% to the total composition of the applied layer of 100wt.%.

    • A polyester film and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve water resisting property by forming a polyvinyl alcohol film on at least one surface of a base film. The polyester film has a polyvinyl alcohol film formed on at least one surface of a base film. The polyvinyl alcohol film is made of a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution with the polymerization degree of 1,500~2,500 and saponification degree of 95~99.5%. The thickness of the polyvinyl alcohol film is 0.1~2mum. The base film is a biaxially oriented film. A polyester film manufacturing method comprises the steps of: melting, extruding, and drawing the polyethylene terephthalate in a vertical direction; applying the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution on at least one surface; and then horizontally drawing and thermally treating the film coated with the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution.
