The switch transmits an audit signal to the AN for grasping as to whether the current allocated bearer channel is a certain channel, and the AN performs an audit process and transmits an audit complete message to the switch(T4).

Based upon the data link release indication from a layer 2, either an ending operation is performed after transmitting a release complete signal to a subscriber connection equipment, or data link reset-up procedure is requested from the layer 2 after performing a port activation process. A state inquiry message is transmitted to a subscriber connection equipment, once an ISDN call processing software module receives a signal confirming data link set-up from the layer 2. A call is maintained or disconnected on the basis of the comparison of two states, subscriber connection equipment and ISDN call processing software module.
