CONSTITUTION: A method for separating interoffice signaling routes according to subscribers comprises the steps of: if a subscriber call is generated in a terminal exchange directly connected with the subscribers, translating a telephone exchange number for the call to select an outgoing route; deciding a subscriber kind corresponding to the call; and selecting a route according to an interoffice signaling system corresponding to the subscriber kind, and transmitting the call. If a subscriber is a public switched telephone network(PSTN) subscriber, a 'R2 signal' route is selected, and if the subscriber is an integrated service digital network(ISDN) subscriber, an ISDN user part(ISUP) route is selected.

    • PURPOSE: A ring-back tone system and method thereof are provided to allow a callee to send various desired ring-back tones to a caller through an intelligent network and reduce costs by omitting the construction of an additional equipment or system. CONSTITUTION: A caller makes a call to a callee(S200). A terminating local exchange checks whether the callee has subscribed for a ring-back tone service(S210). If the callee has subscribed for the ring-back tone service, the terminating local exchange calls the callee and at the same time triggers the call for the callee to an intelligent network(S220). The intelligent network searches a database and transmits a ring-back tone of the callee to a caller system(S230). When the callee responds, the local termination MSC connects a callee system and the caller system and stops transmission of the ring-back tone to the caller system(S260).
