    • A preparation method of catalyst for removing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and particulate matter(PM) from an engine using high-sulfur fuel is provided to improve oxidative ability of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon and oxidative effect on particulate matter at low operation temperature. The Si-Ti-A-B complex catalyst for removing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and particulate matter(PM) is prepared by mixing Si, Ti, A and B metals, stirring the mixture in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or nitric acid solution at 60-150 deg. C and 60rpm for 3 hours or more, wherein A is the metal of Pt, Ru, Ir or Pd; B is the metal of Cs, Ba, W or Re; Si is silicon alkoxide, silicon ethoxide or silicon ethylhexanoisopropoxide; and Ti is TiCl4 or titanium tetraisopropoxide.

    • A composite catalyst that reduces collection load of soot and smoke in a metal foam or ceramic filter, can consistently remove particulate matter and soot and smoke at a low temperature without damage of the metal foam or ceramic filter, and oxidizes hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide, and a preparation method thereof are provided. A catalyst for removing particulate matter and hydrocarbon at a low temperature is a Ti-A-B composite catalyst, wherein A is at least one platinum metal selected from Pt, Ru, Ir and Pd, and B is at least one lanthanide metal selected from La, Ce, and Sm. In the Ti-A-B composite catalyst, a weight ratio of Ti to A and B is from 1:1 to 1:100, A:B is from 10:1 to 1:10 by weight ratio, a weight ratio between the A metals is not limited within a weight ratio of the Ti-A-B composite catalyst provided that two or more A metals are used, and a weight ratio between the B metals is not limited within the weight ratio of the Ti-A-B composite catalyst provided that two or more B metals are used.

As a Ti-A-B composite catalyst, a Ti-A-B composite catalyst for removal of particulate matters and hydrocarbons at low temperatures is characterized in that A is at least one metal of platinum(Pt), ruthenium(Ru), iridium(Ir) and palladium(Pd) as platinum group metals, and B is at least one metal of lanthanium(La), cerium(Ce) and samarium(Sm) as lanthanide metals. A preparation method of a Ti-A-B composite catalyst for removal of particulate matters and hydrocarbons at low temperatures comprises: mixing TiCl4 or titanium tetraisopropoxide as Ti metal, at least one metal compound of platinum(Pt), ruthenium(Ru), iridium(Ir) and palladium(Pd) as platinum group metals(A), and at least one metal compound of lanthanium(La), cerium(Ce) and samarium(Sm) as lanthanide metals(B); and agitating the mixture in an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or nitric acid at a temperature of 60 to 150 deg.C and a rotation speed of 60 revolutions per minute for at least 3 hours to prepare a Ti-A-B composite catalyst.
