    • A mortar composition for refractory lining with heat insulation, fire-proofing property and mechanical strength is provided to be employed in fabricating the refractory lining sufficient to prevent concrete explosion and collision of constructional structure during firing by reusing bottom-ash residual from fossil fuel used in a power plant as primary component of the mortar composition. The composition generally includes bottom ash as refractory aggregate. More particularly, the composition is formed by adding water to solid fraction comprising: 5-50wt.% of cement; 10-90wt.% of the bottom ash; 1-20wt.% of heat insulating aggregate; and 0.01-5wt.% of organic fiber. The cement is selected from typical Portland cement, white Portland cement, alumina cement, early strength Portland cement and high early strength cement. The solid fraction further includes 0.01 to 2wt.% of thickener agent which is selected from methyl cellulose or polyvinyl acetate, and/or 0.5 to 7wt% of accelerating agent.

    • A mortar composition containing recycled alumina from alumina waste of chemical or petroleum facilities is provided to be used for manufacturing refractory linings with desired mechanical strength and to give the linings with concrete explosion resistance and structure collision protection performances by primarily comprising the recycled alumina especially obtained from FCC catalyst waste. The composition includes recycled alumina prepared by heat treating waste alumina used in drying agent, adsorbent and/or catalyst carrier then discarded. The composition is prepared by adding solid fraction comprising: 5-50wt.% of cement; 10-80wt.% of the recycled alumina; 1-20wt.% of heat insulating aggregate; and 0.01-5wt.% or organic fiber to water. The cement is selected from typical Portland cement, white Portland cement, alumina cement, early strength Portland cement or high early strength cement. The heat insulating aggregate is recycled catalyst obtained by heat treating FCC catalyst waste.
