A power switch(64) is placed on a rear side of the cover and installed behind the switch knob to be driven by operation of the switch knob.

    • PURPOSE: A cover of a tube connecting part of an air conditioner is provided to improve heat insulating efficiency of the tube connecting part. CONSTITUTION: A cover(41) comprises a body(43) covering a tube connecting part; and side ends(45) formed on both sides of the body to cover tubes. An outer diameter of the body is formed larger than outer diameters of the side ends by difference between a flare nut placed on the tube connecting part and daters of the tubes. A passage is formed in the cover in longitudinal direction. A tube connecting part mounting space(47) is formed on a central part of the passage to allow the tube mounting part to be mounted therein. Tube mounting spaces(49) are formed on both ends of the passage. A diameter of the tube connecting part mounting space is formed larger than diameters of the tube mounting spaces by the difference between the diameters of the flare nut and the tubes. Thickness of the cover is same with thickness of heat insulating material covering the tubes. The cover is made of rubber and has a cut-away part(51) formed in longitudinal direction.

    • PURPOSE: A control method of compressor of air conditioner is provided to improve initial operation factor of an air conditioner by actuating a compressor and air blowers regardless of an expected temperature set in a remote controller on an initial operation by the remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A control method comprises three steps. The first step(S10,S20,S30) is to receive initial operation signal of a remote controller to actuate a compressor and air blowers when a user operates the remote controller for initial operation of an air conditioner. The second step(S40) is to measure temperatures of a room and pipelines to calculate difference between the temperatures of the room and the pipelines and to return to the first step when the difference is smaller than a preset standard value as the compressor and the air blowers are assumed not to work. The third step(S50,S60) is to compare indoor temperature with an expected temperature set in a remote controller when the difference between temperatures of the room and the pipelines is larger than the standard value. When the room temperature is higher than the expected temperature, the compressor and the air blowers are stopped. When the room temperature is lower than the expected temperature, the process returns to the first step.
