    • PURPOSE: An external agent composition for application to the skin is provided which contains a compound K prepared by bioconversion of ginseng saponin as an effective ingredient. By the inclusion of the compound K as a major metabolite of Panax Ginseng into nanoemulsions or liposomes using nanoemulsion techniques, the agent composition has improved transdermal absorption and excellent skin aging-preventing effect such as wrinkle abatement. CONSTITUTION: An external skin agent composition contains 10¬-8 to 99.00% by weight of nanoemulsion particles, the nanoemulsion particles contain 0.001 to 30% by weight of a compound K of the formula 1. The compound K is prepared by acid hydrolysis, base hydrolysis or enzyme hydrolysis of a Panax Ginseng extract. The nanoemulsion particles having an average particle size of 30 to 500nm include liposomes containing lecithin, a lecithin derivative and a co-emulsifier.

    • PURPOSE: A process of preparing a hollow polymer microcapsule using a biocompatible nonbiodegradable hydrophobic polymer is provided. Whereby, the microcapsule contains a large amount of water soluble active component and effectively exerts an active component function. CONSTITUTION: The hollow polymer microcapsule contains a water soluble active component, has a hollow capsule shape and comprises a hydrophobic polymer to improve the stability of the water soluble active component. The microcapsule is prepared by the process: preparing a phase 1 by adding 0.01 to 40% by weight of a water soluble active component to distilled water; preparing an oil phase by adding 0.1 to 20% by weight of a hydrophobic polymer and surfactant to distilled water; preparing a first water-in-oil emulsion by adding the phase 1 to the oil phase; preparing a phase 2; mixing the first emulsion with the phase 2; and hardening the obtained multiple emulsion.

    • PURPOSE: Provided are a microcapsule of polyol/polymer and a method for stabilizing an enzyme using the same. Particularly, an enzyme of which stability is dramatically lowered when used in a formulation is stabilized with polyols basically and then into a microcapsule ultimately. Therefore, the enzyme is effectively stabilized. CONSTITUTION: A method for stabilizing an enzyme using a microcapsule of polyol/polymer is characterized by the steps of: dispersing an enzyme in low molecular weight of polyol evenly for stabilization; re-dispersing the stabilized enzyme/polyol in a polymeric solution, followed by emulsification to give an emulsion; and solidifying the enzyme/polyol/polymeric solution to give a hardened polymeric microcapsule.
