摘要： PURPOSE: A network connection device and a method therefor are provided to connect an internal network to an external network using an NAT(Network Address Translation). CONSTITUTION: In case that a packet is inputted(400), it is judged whether the inputted packet is a packet inputted from an internal network or an external network(402). In case that the inputted packet is a packet inputted from the internal network, a kind of packet is judged(406). In case that the inputted packet is an ARP(Address Resolution Protocol) packet, an ARP response packet is configured and the configured ARP packet is transmitted to the internal packet(408-412). In case that the inputted packet is a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) packet, a DHCP response packet is configured and the configured DHCP packet is transmitted to the internal network(414-420). In case that the inputted packet is not the ARP packet and the DHCP packet, the inputted packet is converted into an external network packet and the external network packet is transmitted to the external packet(422-428). In case that the inputted packet is a packet inputted from the external packet, the external network packet is converted into an internal network packet and the internal network packet is transmitted to the internal network(430-440).
