    • The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a lime powder from slag generated in a pre-treating process of molten iron in a steel manufacturing process, and a dry mortar composition including the lime powder manufactured thereby and having increased water retentivity and plasticity. The present invention provides a manufacturing method of a lime powder including (a) a screening process of screening slag having a diameter less than a certain diameter from slag generated in a pre-treating process of molten iron; (b) a magnetic screening process of screening a ferric material among the screened slag; (c) a pre-heating process of the ferric material screened by a magnetic force; and (d) collecting a scattered powder generated during process (c). In addition, the present invention also provides a dry mortar composition including 1-10 wt% of the lime powder; 15-30 wt% of a binding agent; 2-5 wt% of a swelling material; 10-35 wt% of smashed sand having a diameter of 0.9-3.0 mm; 40-65 wt% of smashed sands having a diameter less than 0.9 mm; 0.001-0.01 wt% of an air-entraining agent; and 0.003-0.01 wt% of a thickening agent.
