    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing a polybutylene terephthalate resin is provided, to improve the durability, the heat resistance and the humidity resistance of the resin by reducing the content of the terminal carboxyl groups of the resin. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of the polycondensation process during the melting polymerization, wherein adding 0.01-10 parts by weight of an epoxy compound to a polybutylene terephthalate resin with a melting flow index of 75-110 g/10 min, as a terminal group encapsulating agent. Preferably the solid polymerization is carried out after the melting polymerization. The epoxy compound is represented by the formula 1 or 2, wherein R is an aliphatic or aromatic group or their combined group.

    • PURPOSE: A method for depositing metal on the surface of a polymer film by ion beams is provided which not only increases an adhesive force between the polymer film and the metal but also simultaneously performs surface treatment and metal deposition by installing an ion beam scanner inside a vacuum thermal evaporator. CONSTITUTION: The method for depositing metal(51) on the surface of a polymer film(10) by ion beams comprises the steps of: treating the surface of the polymer film by irradiating ion beams(31) on the surface of the polymer film as flowing an atmospheric gas around the polymer film; and depositing metal on the surface treated polymer film by the vacuum thermal evaporation, wherein the atmospheric gas is a reactive gas which forms polar functional groups by reacting with free radicals of the polymer, an energy of the ion beams is from 0.2 to 20 keV, an irradiation amount of the ion beams is from 1x10¬14 to 2x10¬17 ions/cm¬2, and a degree of vacuum during the irradiation of the ion beams is from 1x10¬-4 to 9x10¬-4 torr, wherein the atmospheric gas is one or more gases selected from the group consisting of oxygen, ammonia, steam, nitrogen, air and carbon monoxide.
