    • A method for preparing a mineral composition from saline groundwater that is present in the eastern part of Jeju island is provided, and a mineral composition obtained by the method for preparing the mineral composition is provided. A method for preparing a mineral composition comprises the steps of: collecting saline groundwater having an electrical conductivity of at least 1,700 mus/cm as saline groundwater presenting in the eastern part of Jeju island; and desalinating the collected saline groundwater. The saline groundwater has a salt concentration of at least 10%(permilliage). The saline groundwater has an electrical conductivity of at least 17,350 mus/cm. The desalinating step is conducted to maintain the electrical conductivity equal to or less than 1,700 mus/cm. The method further comprises the dewatering step performed before or after performing the desalinating step. The dewatering step is conducted to a water content equal to or less than 10% based on the total weight of a finally obtained mineral composition.

    • A method for preparing a mineral composition using saline groundwater reserved in an eastern coastal area of Jeju island is provided, and a mineral composition prepared by the method is provided. A method for preparing a mineral composition comprises the steps of: (a) digging an eastern coastal area of Jeju island to collect saline groundwater from the underground; (b) filtering the collected saline groundwater using a filter having a membrane sieve size of 0.2 mum; (c) removing monovalent ions from the filtered saline groundwater by an electrodialyzer using an ion exchange membrane to desalt the filtered saline groundwater; and (d) evaporating water from the desalted saline groundwater to form a mineral composition in the powder form, wherein the saline groundwater has: (i) a mineral composition comprising at least 10700 ppm of Na, at least 1390 ppm of Mg, at least 431 ppm of Ca, at least 540 ppm of K, at least 0.00080 ppm of Cu, at least 0.011 ppm of Mo, at least 0.01 ppm of V, at least 0.0025 ppm of Ge, at least 1.18 ppm of Sr, at least 1.21 ppm of Si, at least 0.0019 ppm of Zn, at least 0.04 ppm of Fe, at least 18.9 ppm of Mn, at least 16629 ppm of Cl, at least 0.15 ppm of B, at least 0.08 ppm of Li, at least 0.015 ppm of Ba, at least 0.00065 ppm of Pb, at least 0.00005 ppm of Se, and at least 0.47 ppm of Al, (ii) a salt concentration of at least 14.4%(permilliage), and (iii) an electric conductivity of at least 48516.41 mus/cm.
