CONSTITUTION: In a second insulated film test step, a strength test(S10), a bearing test(S20), a defect repairing process(S30), a helium gas injecting process(S55), a mechanical stressing test(S40), a helium leakage checking process(S50), a repairing process for the leakage part(S65), a repaired part test(S60), a helium concentration measuring test(S75), a corrected part bearing test(S25), and a global test(S80) are performed. In a first insulated film test step, the mechanical stressing test, the bearing test, the helium gas injecting process, a secondary helium leakage checking process, the repairing process for the leakage part, the repaired part test, the helium concentration measuring test, the corrected part bearing test, the strength test, and the global test. A liquid dome air-tightness test step including a welding process for a helium injection hole is implemented.

    • PURPOSE: A leak detecting device for an LNG storage tank is provided to safely obtain inspection conditions of an inspection zone from pollution within an LNG storage tank due to helium gas leakage of a helium balloon by transferring a helium gas detecting probe to an object section to be inspected. CONSTITUTION: A leak detecting device for an LNG storage tank comprises a helium balloon, a helium gas detecting probe(12), a vacuum tube(4), a detector for helium gas, a rope coupling ring(8), and a position adjusting rope(7). The helium balloon has a double layered structure of helium gas(2) and air(3). The helium gas detecting probe sucks ambient air. The vacuum tube is connected to the helium gas detecting probe and the detector for the helium gas. The detector for the helium gas detects helium gas in the air. The rope coupling rings are attached on the outer circumference of an outer balloon(1b).

    • PURPOSE: A leak test method of an LNG storage tank is provided to steadily secure the test condition of an inspection zone from contamination within the LNG storage tank due to helium gas leakage. CONSTITUTION: A leak test method of an LNG storage tank comprises following steps. The state, structure, capacity, and use life of the LNG storage tank are grasped. Whether peripheral components connected to the LNG storage tank can be used or not, and gas perception and temperature measurement data measured during operation are confirmed. A gateway is opened to come in and out the LNG storage tank. Air(3) inside the LNG storage tank is ventilated. A temporally pipe is installed to supply nitrogen gas to the LNG storage tank and connect an exhaust line and a leak detection device. The nitrogen gas and the dry air are injected into the first and second insulation sections of the LNG storage tank and LNG remaining in the first and second insulation sections is discharged. Vacuum is formed on the first and second insulation sections of the LNG storage tank using a vacuum pump. The helium gas(2) is injected into the first and second insulation sections to the decided pressure condition over atmospheric pressure. Inside the LNG storage tank, visual inspection and voiceless sound test are performed.
