    • PURPOSE: A solar cell type LED road stud is provided to improve visibility and environmentally-friendly effects by powering two or more LEDs using a solar cell. CONSTITUTION: A solar cell type LED road stud comprises a solar cell(100), a pair of batteries(310,320), first and second detection units(410,420), a charge control unit(200), first and second switches(S1,S2), an electric discharge control unit(500), third and fourth switches(S3,S4), a drive unit(700), and multiple LEDs(31). The solar cell converts sunlight into voltage. The batteries are charged with the voltage. The first and second detection units detect the voltage of the batteries. The charge control unit determines whether the detected voltage of the batteries is less than reference voltage and outputs a first switch signal. The first and second switches maintain the charging state of the batteries. The charge control unit outputs a second switching signal opposite to the first switching signal. The third and fourth switches cuts off or supplies discharge voltage to the batteries. The drive unit generates driving voltage depending on the supplied discharge voltage. The LEDs are powered by the driving voltage.
