    • PURPOSE: The microorganisms used for the prevention or treatment of plant diseases, microbial preparation containing the microorganisms, and the use thereof are provided, thereby the growth of fungi in plants can be effectively inhibited, so that the plant diseases are prevented and consequently the freshness of plants is maintained during storage. CONSTITUTION: The microorganisms, Bacillus subtilis GB-017 (KFCC-11070) and Bacillus subtilis GB-0365 (KFCC-11071) having an anti-microbial activity are isolated from the soil. The microbial preparation is produced as a liquid or solid agent by using the fermented culture obtained from incubation of Bacillus subtilis GB-017 (KFCC-11070) and Bacillus subtilis GB-0365 (KFCC-11071) in a liquid medium consisting of 8 g of soybean powder, 10 g of glucose, 5 g of ammonium sulfate, 3 g of calcium phosphate, 1.5 g of magnesium sulfate in 1 liter of distilled water and having pH 7.0 under conditions of temperature of 30deg.C, agitation of 120 rpm, and 0.5 vvm of air flow for 14 to 16 hours.

    • PURPOSE: Provided is a microorganism preparation containing antagonistic microorganisms for preventing plant blight which is caused by fungi. The microorganisms are Bacillus subtilis GB-0365(KFCC-11071) and Bacillus sp. GB-017(KFCC-11070) isolated from soil. CONSTITUTION: Soil is mixed with distilled water and autoclaved. The autoclaved solution is filtered with gauze and mixed with agar. After autoclaving, the mixture is kept at water bath at 50°C and mixed with a few drops of supernatant of soil and water mixture. The mixied agar is poured into a plate and overlaid with agar again. Potato agar medium containing spore of plant pathogen is poured onto over the solified agar. The antagonistic microorganisms are isolated from the three layered plate and confirmed antagonistic character by measuring clear zone of isolated microorganisms. The isolated microorganisms are identified as Bacillus subtilis GB-0536 (KFCC-11071) and Bacillus sp. GB-041 (KFCC-11070) which inhibit the growth of plant pathogens such as Botrytris cineria, Fusarium sp., Pythium sp., Pyhtophtora capsici, Alternaria citri, Cladosporium cucumerium, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Pleospora sp., Rhizoctonia solani.

    • PURPOSE: Provided are a natural insecticidal soap having excellent controlling effect to various insects, a method for producing the same, and a method for killing insects by using the same. CONSTITUTION: The insecticidal soap comprises, as active ingredient, a saponified reactant of fatty acid having C8-C18. The fatty acid is at least one selected from the group consisting of caprylic acid, capric acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid, as well as mixture thereof. The method comprises the steps of (i) dissolving potassium hydroxide and adding ethanol to the solution to obtain a mixed solution; (ii) adding a fatty acid of C8-C18 to the mixed solution, and saponifying the solution to obtain a saponified reactant solution; and (iii) further adding oleic acid, triton X-100 or tween-80, sodium sulfate, sodium alginate, and xanthan gum to the saponified reactant solution.
