CONSTITUTION: Flame-retarding expandable polystyrene-based polymerized beads comprise a mixed resin(A) containing a styrene based resin and a char formable thermoplastic resin, and mixed particles containing inorganic foamed particles and carbon filer dispersed into the mixed resin. A foaming agent is impregnated into the mixed resin. A manufacturing method of the beads comprises a step of manufacturing dispersion by mixing 65-95 weight% of a styrenic monomer, 1-10 weight% of char generating thermoplastic resin, 3-29 weight% of an inorganic foaming agent particle, and 0.01-30 weight% of carbon filler, and a step of polymerizing the dispersion.
