    • PURPOSE: A sealing system for a rotary machine and a remodeling method are provided to improve power efficiency of a hydrogen-cooling generator using a sealing device. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen-cooling generator(10) includes a rotor(12), a stator(14), and a sealing device(50). The sealing device is arranged between the rotor and the stator and separates a bearing region(24) and a hydrogen division region(30). The sealing device is comprised of a non-contact seal(54) and a contact seal(56). The contact seal is positioned under the non-contact seal and is surrounded with the non-contact seal. The contact seal surrounds the aluminum body and a nonmetal bristle. The aluminum body surrounds the nonmetal bristle partially. The nonmetal bristles are contacted with the rotor and are protruded from the aluminum body. The remodeling method improves the power efficiency of the hydrogen-cooling generator by including the sealing device in the hydrogen-cooling generator.
