    • PURPOSE: A vacuum thermal insulator made of a formed glass fiber material and a fabrication method for the same are provided to significantly shorten the time for compression-molding of a glass wool and improving insulation performance as contrasted with the existing vacuum insulation panels which use the powder of organic and inorganic materials as heartwood. CONSTITUTION: A fabrication method for a vacuum thermal insulator using a glass wool with C-glass composition is as follows. A glass wool blanket with C-glass in which a fine powder of a plate glass is distributed is compressed by heat and molded to have a density of between 0.1 and 0.7 g/cm2 and subsequently use the result as heartwood for the vacuum thermal insulator. A container which surrounds the heartwood is breathable to endure high vibration and has a vacuum level of between 10-1 and 10-6 torr.
