CONSTITUTION: An identifying unit includes a light lamp around a coin insert hole for lighting the coin insert hole in dark places. Various kinds of coin(90) are moved along a path and are identified by the identifying unit. A discriminating unit includes a coin returning hole for returning forged coins. The coin is moved to an aperture(21) by an elastic plate and is discriminated by the discriminating unit. A double sensor(71) prevents reverse movement of the discriminated coin and applies an electric operation signal.

    • PURPOSE: A coin selector with a timer is provided to minimize power consumption by supplying power only when a coin is inserted. CONSTITUTION: An insertion sensor detects a coin inserted in an insertion hole(8). An operation controller(70) applies an electric signal to switch a standby status of a related apparatus to a ready status. A solenoid(80) is operated to prevent an operation of an elastic plate after a predetermined interval of a stop status or a no-power status. An insertion rejecter(23) returns the coin. The coin is discriminated by a discriminating unit(16). A front display window(5) is implemented on a lower portion of a front panel. The operation of the apparatus is stopped after a predetermined time interval is finished.

    • An operation control method of a coin exchanger using a USB transmission scheme is provided to prevent the coin exchanger from being abnormally operated due to static electricity or high voltage noise. If money put in a bill verifier(1) or a coin verifier(2) is real money, a controller(C) recognizes the amount of the input money to output the amount to a USB signal converter(B). The USB signal converter converts the amount into a USB(Universal Serial Bus) code value, and transmits the same to a USB connectors(A,A'). A CPU(C') recognizes a code value to display the amount on a display device(3), and transmits a signal to the USB signal converter. The controller outputs commands of displaying the amount and draw the money. If a coin is drawn from a coin drawing device(4), the controller applies a normal drawing signal to the USB signal converter. If the CPU receives the normal drawing signal and recognizes the normal draw, the CPU resets a display window of the display device and transmits a signal of flashing light to the USB signal converter. The USB signal converter converts the signals into code values to output the signals to the USB connectors. If the CPU receives the signal, the CPU outputs a command of resetting the display window.

Two pairs of shaft covers cover the shaft of the shield plate, and are fixed to a projection of the support. A lever(50) is fixed to the end of the shaft. A lock(80) is assembled to the cover to block or open an exchange ticket dispensing path(5). A tension spring(60) is interposed between a projection of the lever and a protrusion of the support to pull the shield plate downward.
