摘要： PURPOSE: Provided is the extract of leaves and stems of Dendropanax morbifera Lev. which is obtained by extraction with water or alcohol solvents and has excellent protection effect on liver by inhibiting liver injury induced by ethanol without adverse side effect. Therefore, the extract is used for prevention and treatment of diseases associated with hepatocytes. CONSTITUTION: The extract of leaves and stems of Dendropanax morbifera Lev. is obtained by the steps of: finely cutting stems and leaves of Dendropanax morbifera Lev.; extracting the cut pieces thereof with water or alcohol solvents; freezing the extract of Dendropanax morbifera Lev., followed by filtration and isolation of supernatant; and removing the solvent contained in the supernatant, followed by concentration.

CONSTITUTION: The extract of Dendropanax morbifera Lev. is obtained by extracting Dendropanax morbifera Lev. resin with alcohol or water as an extracting solvent, cooling and filtering the extract to give supernatant, removing alcohol from the supernatant and concentrating the supernatant. Its fractions are obtained by fractioning the extract with hexane, chloroform, ethylacetate, butanol and water, sequentially and repeating the fractioning.
