    • The present invention relates to a cathode for a molten fuel cell and a method for manufacturing the same. An embodiment of the present invention regarding the cathode for a molten carbonate fuel cell and a method for manufacturing the same includes: a first cathode layer having air holes having average sizes ranging from 0.5 to 2 μm; a second cathode layer having air holes having average sizes ranging from 5 to 20 μm. The cathode layers are made of nickel foam (Ni-foam), and the Ni-foam has nickel oxide (NiO) coated by LiCoO2. According to the present invention, a cathode, expected to reduce a solubility by a simple manufacturing process, can be manufactured, thus expecting an increase in the lifespan of the molten carbonate fuel cell.

    • Provided is a sodium sulfur battery. According to the present invention, the sodium sulfur battery includes: a cartridge tube which carries sodium and has a sodium discharging outlet on the bottom for discharging melt sodium; a solid electrolyte tube for accommodating the cartridge tube while passing sodium ions; a cathode container for accommodating the solid electrolyte tube and sulfur; an insulation member for insulating a space between the solid electrolyte tube and the cathode container; an anode cover installed to seal the top of the cartridge tube; a stopper member for blocking the sodium discharging outlet; a fixation member for fixing the stopper member to the bottom of the cartridge tube; and a joint member for joining the stopper member and fixation member while being melt at abnormal operational temperatures of the sodium sulfur battery.

    • PURPOSE: A sodium-sulfur rechargeable battery is provided to prevent fundamentally block phenomenon reacting with sulfur, thereby increasing battery stability and preventing battery explosion. CONSTITUTION: A sodium-sulfur rechargeable battery comprises a positive electrode chamber(12) which accommodates sulfur, a negative electrode chamber(24) which accommodates sodium; and a solid electrolyte(16) which selectively moves only a sodium ions by being installed between the positive electrode chamber and the negative electrode chamber; a negative electrode container(50) which is located in the outside of the battery part and accommodates sodium; and a sodium supply part(60) which is connected to between the negative electrode container and negative electrode chamber of the battery part, and circulates sodium into the negative electrode chamber.
